About this award

You get a $250.00 award. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you have taken on leadership roles and contributed to your campus or community while studying kinesiology. You must apply by February 1, 2027. When you apply, ask University of Winnipeg how and when you'll hear back — email, portal, or phone. One recipient is selected each year from every member institution of the CCUPEKA (the Canadian Council of University Physical Education and Kinesiology Administrators — the national body for physical education leaders). Selection is based on your involvement in leadership and the contributions you made during your degree. Ask University of Winnipeg how they score these contributions so you can judge your odds. Ask University of Winnipeg during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — since this is for students entering their final year, confirm with University of Winnipeg whether it is a one-time payment or if there are other requirements to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be entering the final year of any 4-Year degree in Kinesiology and Applied Health at the University of Winnipeg. You are eligible if you have demonstrated leadership through activities such as student governance, local volunteer work, or outreach programs and initiatives.
