About this award

You get $1,000 in total, which you do not have to pay back. The money is split into two equal installments of $500 each that are applied directly to your tuition fees: the first $500 arrives at the start of the academic year in September, and the second $500 arrives at the start of the second term in January. This is for you if you are an Anglophone or Francophone student at a New Brunswick public high school who is graduating and has been accepted (or is on a waiting list) for the 2026-2027 college year at the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) or the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD). For 2026 graduates the online application form was due by Tuesday, May 27, 2026; ask your guidance counsellor whether a paper form is still accepted. The NBCC Foundation only confirms in May whether the scholarship will be offered to that year's graduates, and it suggests you fill out the application anyway. Selection criteria aren't published — ask the NBCC Foundation how winners are chosen. One scholarship is available for each New Brunswick public high school each year. The money goes directly toward your tuition fees. Since the disbursement is handled automatically, you do not need to take any action to start the process, and you will be contacted if anything more is needed. To keep the second half of the money, you must successfully complete your first term and return to class for the second term in January.
