About this award

You receive $3,000 for your first year of study. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. If you meet the renewal rules, you get $1,500 per year for an additional three years. This is for you if you are a high-achieving student in the Faculty of Business and Economics or the Faculty of Science, especially if you are a new immigrant to Manitoba or connected to Bee Clean employees. Apply by March 1, 2027. When you apply, ask University of Winnipeg how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, the portal, or phone. Ask University of Winnipeg how many students usually apply, so you can judge your odds. The school will select one or more students. Ask University of Winnipeg during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. To keep this award for the additional three years, you must enroll in a minimum of 18 credit hours and maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.55.

Who qualifies

You must be in any year of study, whether undergraduate or graduate, within the Faculty of Business and Economics or the Faculty of Science. If you are in the Faculty of Science, a preference is given to students studying environment related issues. High academic standing is required. Priority preference is given to new immigrants to Manitoba or their family, as well as employees of Bee Clean or their children and family members.
