You can receive a total of $36,000, which is paid as $9,000 per year for four years. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a high-achieving Canadian high school student who has taken on significant leadership roles in your community or school. You must apply by January 25, 2027. The application for Fall 2027 entry opens in December 2026. When you apply, ask University of Guelph-Humber how and when you will hear back. The scholarship recognizes academic achievement, leadership and extracurricular activities, and 10 are awarded each year. The scholarship is credited to your University account each year in two equal payments, at the start of the fall and winter semesters. You are considered automatically for renewal in each of the three years after admission. To renew, you must carry 2.0 credits or more in both the fall and winter semesters, keep at least an 80% average in the previous academic year, and submit an annual report on your leadership and activities on campus or in your community.
You must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person entering post-secondary studies for the first time, in a full-time degree program at the University of Guelph-Humber, with a minimum 90% admission average (including subject requirements). You must also show significant leadership achievements through school and/or community activities. Note that you cannot combine this award with the Vice-Provost Entrance Scholarship or the Renewable Entrance Scholarship. It also cannot be held with the Guelph-Humber Student Leadership Scholarship, the University of Guelph's President's and Chancellors' Scholarships or the University of Guelph's Board of Governors' Scholarships.
