You receive a one-time payment of $3,000. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. Because it is non-renewable, you will not receive this amount in future years. This is for you if you are a domestic student graduating from high school who has achieved a high academic average and is starting your first year of university. There is no separate application deadline because you are assessed automatically when you apply for admission. You will find out if you are eligible in your official offer of admission from the University of Toronto Mississauga. Winners are chosen automatically based on your admitted average. The University of Toronto Mississauga assesses all incoming students, and you do not need to apply separately to be considered. You must be a domestic student newly admitted to the University of Toronto Mississauga directly from high school. To qualify for this specific value, you need an admitted average of 92.0% — 94.9%. If you studied the high school curriculum in Ontario, this percentage is used directly; if you studied in another jurisdiction, the school determines your eligibility based on your local curriculum and other criteria like standardized tests. Note that if you repeated a course, the school uses the first grade you earned to calculate your average. You are not eligible if you are a transferring student, an internal applicant, a visiting student, or a non-degree student. You must also maintain full-time registration at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
