About this award

You receive a $1,000 scholarship. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a domestic student coming directly from high school into a humanities-focused program. There is no separate application or deadline: you are assessed automatically when you are admitted. You will hear back via a notification sent with your offer of admission. Winners are chosen automatically based on your admitted average, which must be at least 85%. Ask University of Toronto Mississauga during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. To keep this money, you must maintain full-time registration in the humanities. Who qualifies

You must be a domestic student admitted to University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) directly from high school into Humanities, Visual Studies, or Theatre & Drama Studies. You must have a minimum admitted average of 85%. Note that if you repeated a course, the school uses the first grade you earned to calculate your average. You are not eligible if you are a transferring, internal, visiting, or non-degree student, or if you received an alternate offer to the Humanities.
