Inspiring Lives Scholarship (International)

What you will need

About this award

You can receive a scholarship ranging from $500 to $5,000 CAD. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are an international student who has inspired others through leadership, purpose, and extracurricular activities in your community. Applications opened September 4, 2026 and close Sunday, November 8, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Accept your offer of admission before you apply. Winners are chosen for how they inspire lives of leadership and purpose in their communities and through extracurricular activities; your admission average is not used, and the scholarship can be stacked with entrance scholarships. Ask Wilfrid Laurier University during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Wilfrid Laurier University whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be an international student who has applied to Laurier, accepted your offer, and is entering first-year undergraduate studies in the fall term, in any program at any campus. You must be paying full-time international tuition fees in the fall term to receive it. There is no minimum admission average.

• RealismAvoid assuming that a high GPA wins this award. Instead, remember that this is a separate application based on your character and actions. Treat this as a distinct process from your university admission.
