President's Level Entrance Scholarship

What you will need

About this award

You can receive $16,000 in total, paid out as $2,000 over 8 terms. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a domestic student going straight from full-time high school to the University of Windsor with a 95% to 100% admission average, in any program. There is no application and no deadline: offers are automatic, based on your best six final and interim Grade 12 U/M courses (or equivalent) available in May. Winners are chosen automatically based on your 12O admission average—which is the average of your top 6 Grade 12 U/M (University or Mixed) level courses. Every eligible student with a 12O average of 95% to 100% gets this level of support; it is not a competition. Ask University of Windsor during your application how the money will reach you—some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. To keep this scholarship for the maximum of 8 installments, you must register full-time for 2 semesters each academic year and maintain a minimum scholarship average of 85% at the end of each 2-term study. If you fail to meet this average, you will lose eligibility for the following Fall and Winter semesters.

Who qualifies

You must be a domestic student entering the University of Windsor directly from full-time secondary school with no previous attendance at any post-secondary educational institutions. To qualify for the President's Level Support, your 12O admission average (the average of your best six final and interim Grade 12 U/M level qualifying courses or equivalent CEGEP courses available in May) must be between 95% and 100%. Note that co-op courses are not included in this average. You must register full-time in the academic year immediately following your high school graduation. If you have been identified as having a permanent disability, you will be considered a full-time student for scholarship purposes if you are registered in a minimum 40% course load.
