About this award

You can receive between $5,000 and $10,000. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are an international student with top grades who needs financial help to afford your studies at Glendon. To be considered, apply for the President's International Scholarship of Excellence on York's International Scholarships and Awards application, which opens November 1, 2026. The last date to submit applications for incoming international student awards is January 27, 2027. You will hear the decision via email in March 2027. It goes to two (2) international applicants, chosen on top academic standing (85% or higher) and financial need, with preference for Francophone applicants. York applies awards to your York Student Account in mid-August, and they show on your August statement. To keep this scholarship, you must accept your offer of admission by the deadline in your letter, satisfy all admission conditions within 30 days of the term start, and remain enrolled full-time in a York University undergraduate program. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with York University whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.

Who qualifies

You must be an international applicant admitted to Glendon with an academic standing of 85% or higher and be able to demonstrate financial need. A preference will be given to applicants who are Francophone (French-speaking). You must also be paying international tuition rates; York University may revoke the scholarship if your tuition category changes to domestic.
