Sudbury Community Foundation
$500 for graduating secondary school students from Greater Sudbury who are pursuing post-secondary studies in visual arts or fine arts.
Published by G Paul · last checked September 26, 2026
You can receive a $500 grant for your studies. As a grant, this money is yours to keep — there is nothing to repay. This is for you if you are a talented artist from Greater Sudbury who has shared your work with the community and is heading to post-secondary school for visual or fine arts. Applications are accepted from April 1 to April 30 each year. Send your completed application to the Sudbury Community Foundation by mail or email (both addresses are on the application form) no later than April 30. A committee reviews applications in early May and recommends winners to the Foundation's Board of Directors based on merit and the funding available that year. If you are chosen, you will need to send proof of acceptance to the school named in your application. Grants are only made to qualified Canadian educational institutions for use by successful applicants. Ask Sudbury Community Foundation during your application how the money will reach your school and how you can access it for your expenses. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Sudbury Community Foundation whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.
