Fredericton Community Foundation
Get $1,000 for graduating from Fredericton High School or Leo Hayes High School.

You can receive a one-time payment of $1,000. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. There are two of these awards given out each year. This is for you if you are finishing your secondary education at one of the two named high schools in Fredericton. You must apply by May 15. When you apply, ask Fredericton Community Foundation how and when you will hear back — whether it is by email, phone, or a portal. The WWPD (What Would Poohie Do) Committee chooses the winners. Selection criteria aren't published — ask Fredericton Community Foundation how the committee reviews applications and roughly how many students apply so you can judge your odds. Ask Fredericton Community Foundation during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — since these are one-time awards, you cannot apply for them again in future years.
You must be a graduating student from either Fredericton High School or Leo Hayes High School.
