About this award

You can receive between $2,000 and $5,000 for this award, and it is renewable for three subsequent years. As a bursary, this money is yours to keep — there is nothing to repay. This is for you if you are entering your first year of a first-entry undergraduate degree program and identify as a member of an underserved or underrepresented group with demonstrated financial need. You should aim to submit your application by February 15, though Queen's University will continue to accept applications after this date. Most students are notified if they have been selected along with their offer of admission; you should check your SOLUS (Student On-Line University System — the digital portal for student records and applications) Student Centre for updates. Selection is based on an assessment of your financial need, including your family income, assets, and the total cost of your studies. Ask Queen's University roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Ask Queen's University during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Who qualifies
