About this award

You can receive $40,000 in total, which is paid as $10,000 per year for 4 years. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are an international student with top academic standing who has been admitted to Glendon. No separate application is required for this award, as you are automatically considered. However, you will hear the final decision from York University via email in March 2027. Top academic standing means an overall average of 80% or more (York Factor 8), or the equivalent in your curriculum's grading scale, and admitted students who meet it are considered automatically. Up to ten (10) are awarded each year. Ask York University during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow, but note that awards are typically applied to your York Student Account and reflected on your August statement. To keep this scholarship, you must be enrolled full-time in a York University undergraduate program, satisfy all admission conditions within 30 days of the term start, and accept your offer of admission by the deadline in your letter. To renew it each year, you need a cumulative GPA of at least 8.0 over at least 24 credits taken during the school year (including the preceding summer, fall and winter terms). Also, you must continue paying international tuition rates, as York University may revoke the award if your tuition category changes to domestic.
