Muriel Connors Award

What you will need

• ✓ High school graduation from New Brunswick
• ✓ Enrollment in a Canadian college or university
• ✓ Age between 15 and 30 years old

About this award

You will receive a minimum of $3,000. As a scholarship, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a New Brunswick high school graduate starting your post-secondary journey at a Canadian institution. You must apply by March 18. When you apply, ask how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, phone, or a portal. The Muriel Connors Award Committee chooses the winners. Selection criteria aren't published — ask Fredericton Community Foundation how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Ask Fredericton Community Foundation during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. Renewal conditions aren't listed — if you're counting on this for multiple years, confirm with Fredericton Community Foundation whether it's one-time or renewable and what you need to maintain.
