You can receive $10,000 CAD per year for a total value of $40,000 CAD. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. Because the award is renewable, you can receive this funding annually while you study. This is for you if you are a secondary school graduate who has balanced high academic achievement with leadership roles and creative projects. You must apply through AwardSpring (the university's external scholarship portal) between November 2, 2026, and February 16, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Toronto Metropolitan University does not accept late applications under any circumstances. You can apply before you get an offer of admission, but you need your TMU Student Number to sign in to AwardSpring. When you apply, ask how and when you'll hear back — email, portal, or phone. Twelve (12) students are chosen based on their academic record, leadership qualities, original thought, and creative ability. You must be a secondary school graduate with a minimum 90% final admission average, calculated using your best 6 Grade 12 U/M (University or Mixed) courses or the equivalent from your home country. This award is open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, people who have refugee or protected-person status in Canada, and international students. As a benefit, twelve (12) recipients are reserved a bed in residence, specifically either a Pitman Hall single bedroom with shared hallway washroom or an International Living/Learning single bedroom with private washroom. The residence costs are not included.
