Trent Entrance Bursary

About this award

You can receive a bursary valued between $500 and $5,000. Specific awards include the New Student Entrance Bursary ($500 to $1,000), the Athletic Entrance Bursary (minimum of $500), the City of Peterborough Entrance Award ($2,000), and the Joyce Family Foundation Entrance Bursary ($5,000), which may be renewed for up to four years. As these are bursaries, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are entering post-secondary studies for the first time and have a demonstrated financial need that requires supplemental funding. You must apply by July 31. Applications open in May each year. When you apply, ask Trent University how and when you will be notified of the decision. Selection criteria aren't published — ask Trent University how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. Note that the City of Peterborough award is limited to two winners per year, and the Joyce Family Foundation award is given to four students each year. Who qualifies
