You get $37,500 in total over four years. This is broken down as $15,000 in your first year and $7,500 in each of your second, third, and fourth years. As a scholarship, this money is yours to keep and you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are an international student finishing high school with a very high academic average and you are planning to start your undergraduate journey at York University. No separate application is required for this specific award because you are automatically considered. However, you will hear the final decision via email in March 2027. You are considered automatically based on your final admission average: 90% or higher, or the equivalent for your curriculum. The money will be applied to your York Student Account and will show up on your August 2027 statement. Ask York University if there are other ways the funds are handled so you can plan your cash flow. To keep this scholarship, you must accept your offer of admission by the deadline in your letter, satisfy all admission conditions within 30 days of the term start, and remain enrolled full-time in a York University undergraduate program. The page doesn't list the grades you need to keep it in years 2 to 4, so confirm with York University what you need to maintain.
You must be an international high school applicant paying international tuition rates. You qualify if you have a final average of 90%+ or the equivalent for your curriculum. This includes students with advanced standing, provided you have less than 24 transfer credits. To be considered a high school applicant, you must be less than 21 years old by the end of the calendar year you are admitted, have been out of full-time high school for less than two years since your graduation date, and have not previously attempted studies at an accredited college or university.
