Brock Leaders Citizenship Society Award

What you will need

About this award

You get a total of $8,000, which is paid as $2,000 per year. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. This is for you if you are a high school student who has balanced strong grades with a deep commitment to leading others and helping your community. Apply by April 15 at 4:30 pm EDT (the next deadline is April 15, 2027). You will hear by email if you won, in the spring before your first year of study begins. A selection committee picks 10 to 15 students each year, looking at your admission average and your personal leadership, such as activities beyond school requirements and contributions to your community. The award comes on top of your Brock Scholars Award. Ask Brock University during your application how the money will reach you — some awards pay students directly, others apply funds to tuition. Confirm this so you can plan your cash flow. To keep this award and stay in the Brock Leaders Citizenship Society, you must maintain an 80 per cent average in full time studies. You also need a minimum of 20 hours of community service per term (40 hours total for the Fall/Winter session) and must complete one level of the Foundation in Leadership Program each year (Bronze in year one, Silver in year two, Gold in year three, and Platinum in year four).

Who qualifies

You must be an incoming secondary school student from any faculty at Brock University. To qualify, you need to demonstrate exceptional academic success, outstanding leadership, and significant community involvement.
